Description
Learn how to make delicious ground beef burger recipes. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef, preferably 80/20 for juiciness
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of your favorite cheese (optional)
- Lettuce, tomato, and onion for toppings
- Ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise for serving
Feel free to substitute turkey or plant-based meat for a different twist, keeping the same seasoning for a similar flavor profile. The key is ensuring the mixture is well-combined without overworking the meat, maintaining that tender, juicy texture.
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or a skillet over medium heat if cooking indoors.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.
- Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. Add cheese slices in the last minute of cooking if desired.
- Remove the patties from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes before assembling the burgers.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the oven for a few minutes until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the lettuce, tomato, and onion on the bottom bun, followed by the patty. Top with your favorite condiments and the top bun.
