Description

Learn how to make delicious ground beef burger recipes. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 pound ground beef, preferably 80/20 for juiciness
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of your favorite cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion for toppings
  • Ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise for serving

Feel free to substitute turkey or plant-based meat for a different twist, keeping the same seasoning for a similar flavor profile. The key is ensuring the mixture is well-combined without overworking the meat, maintaining that tender, juicy texture.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or a skillet over medium heat if cooking indoors.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.
  4. Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. Add cheese slices in the last minute of cooking if desired.
  5. Remove the patties from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes before assembling the burgers.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the oven for a few minutes until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing the lettuce, tomato, and onion on the bottom bun, followed by the patty. Top with your favorite condiments and the top bun.
