  • 1 cup water chestnuts, chopped
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 head of butter lettuce, leaves separated and washed
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to combine.
  5. Add the chopped water chestnuts to the mixture and cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the sliced green onions.
