- 2 pounds of chicken wings
- 1 cup fresh or canned peach slices, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan, combine the chopped peaches, honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until the peaches are soft and the mixture is slightly thickened.
- While the sauce cooks, pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and thyme until well coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly. Blend the sauce using an immersion blender or transfer to a blender, and puree until smooth.
- Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the hot honey peach sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
- Return the coated wings to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the glaze is sticky and caramelized.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra fresh thyme if desired, and enjoy the symphony of flavors!
