Description

Learn how to make delicious How to make Pink Latte. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 cup milk (any kind: whole, almond, oat, or soy)
  • 1 tablespoon beetroot powder or 1/4 cup freshly juiced beetroot
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of ground ginger (optional, for a little warmth)
  • Pinch of sea salt

If you’re using fresh beetroot juice, you can skip the powder, but the powder is a handy pantry staple that keeps well and blends easily. For sweeteners, honey adds a floral note, but maple syrup or agave work just as well, especially if you want to keep it vegan. And while I love the hint of ginger, it’s okay to leave it out if you prefer a purer beet flavor.

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. Keep an eye on it—you want it hot but not boiling, about 3 to 5 minutes. From my early days cooking, I learned that patience here makes all the difference. Too hot, and you lose the creaminess; too cool, and the flavors won’t meld.
  2. While the milk is warming, combine the beetroot powder (or fresh beet juice), honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, ground ginger if using, and a pinch of salt in a mug or heatproof bowl.
  3. Once the milk is hot, slowly pour it into the mug with your beet mixture. Stir gently to combine everything evenly. The color will deepen, and the aroma will start to fill your kitchen—a signal you’re on the right track.
  4. If you have a milk frother, now’s the time to use it to get that lovely foam on top, but I often skip this step since my family tends to drink it quickly before it cools. If no frother, a quick whisk or even shaking the mixture in a tightly sealed jar works wonders.
  5. Give it a final stir, taste, and adjust sweetness if needed. Remember, like my chili rescue days, sometimes a little tweak here and there brings everything into perfect balance.
  6. Serve immediately, preferably with a small spoon or straw to mix as you sip, because the beet powder can settle at the bottom.
