Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons jerk seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound fettuccine or your favorite pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Feel free to substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version, or try using gluten-free pasta if you have dietary restrictions. The jerk seasoning can be homemade or store-bought, depending on your preference and time availability.
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and sprinkle with jerk seasoning, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cook for about 6-8 minutes until the chicken is browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Meanwhile, in a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Stir in the chicken and any accumulated juices.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley for a fresh finish.
