Description

Learn how to make delicious Marry Me Shrimps Recipe. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a bit of heat)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

Feel free to substitute the heavy cream with coconut milk for a lighter, dairy-free version. If sun-dried tomatoes aren’t available, cherry tomatoes make a great alternative, adding a burst of freshness to the dish.

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. This step always reminds me of family dinners where the smell of garlic meant delicious things were coming.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any bits stuck to the pan. Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes and let them simmer for about 3 minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and slowly add the heavy cream, stirring continuously. Let the sauce thicken slightly, around 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt into the sauce. This is where the magic happens, creating a creamy, cheesy delight.
  6. Return the shrimp to the skillet, gently tossing them in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to ensure everything is well coated and heated through.
  7. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh basil and a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little kick, if desired. Serve immediately.
